Which Senate seats are still to be called?
From CNN’s Jedd Rosche and Antoinette Radford
CNN projects that Republicans will take control of the Senate, a major victory for the party that has been locked out of the majority in the chamber since 2021.
But the Senate races in a number of states have yet to be called. Those are:
Michigan
Wisconsin
Arizona
Pennsylvania
Nevada
Maine
Notably, Democratic Sen. Tammy Baldwin has inched ahead in Wisconsin after a campaign that saw her GOP opponent, Eric Hovde, put the spotlight on her same-sex relationship and the career of her partner.
And in hotly contested Michigan, current US Rep. Elissa Slotkin has pulled ahead in the race to fill the seat being vacated by the seat being vacated by retiring Sen. Debbie Stabenow. Slotkin leads by 0.1% with 95% of the vote counted.

CNN Projection: Three more states vote to protect abortion rights, while effort fails in South Dakota
From CNN’s Kaanita Iyer, Piper Hudspeth Blackburn and Lauren Mascarenhas
Measures to protect abortion access in Missouri, Nevada and Montana will pass, CNN projects, joining wins for abortion rights advocates in New York, Colorado, Maryland and Arizona.
Meanwhile, South Dakota’s ban on abortions with an exception to save the life of the mother will remain in place after a ballot measure to expand access failed, CNN projects. A similar measure also failed in Florida.
Here’s a roundup of the newly projected measures:
Missouri: A measure to enshrine the right to an abortion up to the point of viability in the state’s constitution will be approved, greatly expanding access to abortion in the state, where it is currently banned with no exceptions for rape or incest.
Nevada: Voters will approve a measure establishing the right to an abortion up to the point of viability in Nevada’s constitution, though voters will have to approve the measure again in 2026 to amend the constitution.
Montana: A measure to amend Montana’s constitution to protect the right to make decisions about one’s own pregnancy — including the right to an abortion — through fetal viability or when needed to protect the pregnant patient’s life of health will pass.
South Dakota: Voters will reject a measure that would have guaranteed a constitutional right to an abortion, with exceptions, during the first and second trimesters of pregnancy.
What we’re waiting for: Voters in Nebraska also weighed in on the issue as they faced dueling measures on the ballot. One would invalidate the state’s 12-week abortion ban, which makes exceptions for sexual assault, incest and medical emergencies, while the other would uphold the restriction.
